A Mother’s love is like a flower. Each one beautiful and different.

A Mother’s love is like a flower.  Each one beautiful and different.   Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 14 and it’s a day to be celebrated.  So Happy Mother’s Day to all the mother’s in the world.  Unfortunately, not everyone has their mom around to enjoy this day.  So we wish peace and sweet memories to those who have a loved one who has transitioned to another life. As time goes on, we learn the celebration of mothers is more than being taken out for brunch or dinner and the thoughtful gifts … It’s also a day of reflection of your past, present and future. Take this time to cherish every moment with your mom, children, aunts, sisters, and friends….

It’s Fiesta Time! And We Have Some Party Ideas On Cinco De Mayo.

It’s Fiesta Time!!   Happy Cinco De Mayo!   Chips, salsa, tequila, music, tequila, dancing, tequila, festivals and oh did we mention tequila?? Known as the Mexican St. Patrick’s Day in the United States, we all know that there are festivities, food, drinks and good times to be had.  Friends to meet up after work and places to hop around…and maybe some Uber or Lyfts waiting for that call (because our readers are all responsible 😉 ) But!  What do you really know about this day?? Ask most people and they will say: “Isn’t that Mexican Independence Day?” I’m sure you have heard that answer.  It is actually about “The Battle of Puebla.” The French armies were rolling through Mexico and defeating…

The Happy Traveler and Spring Break

Spring Break Isn’t Solely For Kids. Parents Are Going Places Alone.

Spring break isn’t solely for kids.   Spring break for a majority of cities began after school on Friday, April 7.  Every minute and second counts.  Once that bell rang, it’s spring break, for the teachers, students and parents.  So technically, if you think about it, there’s a good nine (9) days you can stretch out of the typical 5-day break.  Every day counts! The Happy Traveler asked some local Las Vegas parents what their plans were for spring break.  Some answers were typical, creative, funny and amusing.  I think the responses varied according to a parent being single/married, having family or friend support and actually having time off from work to enjoy. Our first parents, gave themselves the hashtag of…

School time. What’s better than giving an apple?

Back to school.  What’s better than giving an apple?   What’s better than giving an apple?  A souvenir!  Yes, a souvenir that you bought while on vacation or a place where you know your student’s teacher would love to visit or has already been.  Souvenirs are great memory reminders of the good times people have experienced while on vacation or in between travel destinations. The first item that comes to mind is lanyards and keychains.  Teachers have keys (some several) to open up their classrooms and this would be a gift that a teacher would probably use every day. There are bling lanyards, keychain lanyards, wrist lanyards and unisex lanyards. We carry over 20 different lanyard styles, so you have…

Dad is all tied out.

Dad is all tied out. No more ties.

Dad is all tied out. No more ties. The Happy Traveler took to social media and asked a group of fathers between the ages 30-50, how they felt about their Father’s Day gifts from previous years.  They didn’t want to sound unappreciative but to my readers… Dad is all tied out. No more ties this year! Fathers are saying they no longer want the traditional gifts, mostly because they are considered cliche and would like more thought put into what interests them. One father is a professional chef and his interests would be anything associated with food preparation and a good meal. I’m sure he has all the tools to cook, so why not get him something fun from our Kitchen…
